The Fair

"As a child I always loved the flashing lights and tinkling sounds of the fair. I loved breathing in the musky smell of livestock mixed with a whiff of a nearby stranger's funnel cake. And I didn't mind getting a crick in my neck as I stared up at giant ferris wheel going round and round and round. It was mesmerizingly  beautiful. Almost as beautiful as that grand moment when you handed the ride operator your ticket after waiting an eternity in line, all for the chance to fly for a few seconds and watch the lights on the ground blur into one big rainbow of neon light..."
